Hotshot Mogul

I loved writing these characters and the paranormal/time travel element. I fell in love with the characters in Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward's Playboy Pilot in the Cocky Hero Club Series and wrote a second-generation character based on that, 20 years into the future. I explored my state's early history of French settlements. That's part of the plot, too.

I am learning French onliine, and have traveled once to Montreal and once to Paris. I bought three tickets to the first floor rather than one ticket to the third floor of la tour Eiffel, (Eiffel Tower) trying to buy it in French. A very nice ticket seller changed it. My heroine has to learn a new language and culture, and I brought some of my life experience into her journey.

I wrote a bit of the dialog for Hotshot Mogul in French, with the help of my awesome editor, a fifth-year French student. I love how Vivienne LaRue, (who narrates the part of Anneliese) reads that part (and all the parts) in the Audible book. Lance Greenwood (who narrates Bruce) is wonderful, too.

I covered city government in my former life as a journalist and used my experience covering the planning departments in the cities on my beat for the development (mogul) stuff. It was fun to write how I thought city planning would be 20 years from now.
